Small account challenge, day 13
I stayed in cash all weekend instead of picking up some end of day plays so I came into Monday wanting to practice some of what I had studied over the weekend. So I only made two plays and they were weak plays honestly. My pattern I think still was correct but these are swings that could take 2-3 days and I’m not patient enough. But, the picks I had been using have not been performing the last few days so I’m working hard on new patterns and refining what I’m doing.
First, I played $ONVO. This stock had a large engulfing candle on Friday, and is a pinch play. Last time it had an engulfing, it went up almost 4% so I was hoping it would poke through the 20EMA and become a winner. It didn’t, it met the high of Friday and just hovered around. I got out at my buy. The $2 loss is trade fees. If you’re looking for one to watch tomorrow this is still on my watchlist.
I bought 5 shares of $ESV as I’m learning pinch plays, it came up in my search. I’m not expecting a lot I mean I can’t gain much anyways but I won’t watch it unless I have money on it so I’m playing it.
And, yeah, that’s about it. I’ll screenshot my new scanners in TC2000 below so you can check them out. This is a powerful tool and I’m learning more and more not only how to build scans, but what patterns I want to scan for.
