Small account challenge, Day 4
I have traded this stock several times before, so I get excited when it comes up on the scanner. It likes to pop. Once again, my goal was to sell quickly into the open and despite the 5-minute chart on this thing looking pretty sweet, I was sitting in the middle of work and could not trade this thing all morning. So some might say I grabbed 9% when it should have been 18%, and that might be true.
But if you’re like me and still having to work for a living and can’t sit around and trade all day, I think my strategy is pretty sound. I sold in the first second of the opening bell and was done with a fast 9% gain. Then, back to work with less than a minute involved in stocks. It’s pretty hard to complain about that. But it’s also encouraging since there will be a day when I won’t have a job besides day trading. And then, I will be able to realize more of the full upside potential (as well as make more than one trade per day).
But until then, I’ll take 9% profits for a couple minutes total worth of work.
